Cottage Shopper

I am in love with this Cottage Wall DSP. I don't know why it took me so long to order it, it works for almost everything.

This project is from Stampin' Connection's 3-D challenge. The challenge is to make one of these shoppers. You can find the directions here. Jacqueline Nimrichter did a great job with the tutorial. The only thing I did that she didn't tell us to was crease the middle of the sides so the shopper folds in.

I think my shopper turned out great and I will probably be making more of these. I might even make a class out of it and include some 3x3 note cards. Thanks for visiting and see you next time. P.S. Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

Spring Friendship

Its Mojo Monday a day late. I think in all the weeks that I have been doing Mojo Monday, I have only actually finished my card on Monday once. Better late than never I guess. This is the first time I have used this stamp set; Spring Song. I got it free through Sale-A-Bration. When I first looked at it, I thought that I would never use it. The more I looked at it, the more I liked it. I don't color very well, but this set will make me practice more.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for visiting and see you nest time.

I Miss You

This is the card I made for Stampin' Up! Half Day Regionals in Louisiana with a couple of modifications. For Regionals, I swapped the butterflies and "Three Little Words" to make the butterflies look like they were flying.

For the "T" in Three Little Words, I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo on Whisper White card stock. Next, I used the Melon Mambo marker and a blender pen and colored in the "T." I wanted to give the "T" a softer look and be able to stand out. After the "T" was completely dry, I used the two way glue pen and added Dazzling Diamonds to give it a little sparkle.

The butterflies were done using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. For the big butterfly, I dotted Crystal Effects around the edge and the added Dazzling Diamonds.

The ribbon is Whisper White Organza with linen thread tied around it. The colors are Old Olive, Kraft and Melon Mambo and the stamp set is Three Little Words. All products are Stampin' Up!

Thank you for visiting and see you next time.

Girl B-Day Card

My daughter has a birthday party to go to tomorrow and I needed a card to go with the present. This is what I came up with. I like paring pink with black. It balances the brightness of the pink so it is not too "in your face". You can't see it too well, but I used Dazzling Diamonds on the icing for the cupcakes. It gives a nice shimmer to the cupcakes and brings out the glitter in the DSP I used. I hope the girl getting this card likes it!!

Thanks for visiting and have a nice day!

New Rag Purse

This is my new favorite thing right now. The rag purse is made by cutting out scallop squares from Stampin' Up! using the Big Shot, then you piece them together. It is super easy and super fun!! I spent an hour at the fabric store trying to decide which fabric I wanted to use this time. The first purse I made was dark brown with dark colors mixed in. I wanted this one to have more of a Spring feeling. After I got the fabric home, I realized that it matches my newest card almost perfectly. You will have to wait to see the card because I am taking it with me to Regionals in Louisiana this Saturday.

Here is the inside of the purse. Nice and clean (for now), I haven't put anything in it yet.

These are pictures of the pockets I put in. They are the perfect size for my camera and cell phone. I put them in the middle of each side panel so that they would be easier to reach and so things didn't accidentally fall into them. Now that I put my camera and cell phone in them, it weighs down the purse when I set it down. Oh well, I am not going to be putting it down much am I? I hope you enjoyed this purse as much as I do.

Thanks for visiting and see you next time.
