Mother's Day

It has been a couple of weeks since I did a PPA challenge. This one was a sketch challenge and a very easy one. The sketch is pretty basic but all the samples they have posted are extremely different. That is one of the things that I love about stamping and paper crafting. No matter what you start out with, no two people are going to finish with the same exact project.

For this card, I wanted to do all purple because my mom's favorite color is purple and I will most likely give this card to her. I really like the way it turned out. I don't have many embellishments because 1) I don't have them and 2) I like to believe that less is more.

Thanks for visiting and see you next time!

Stamp Set: All Holidays
Paper: Orchid Opulence, Very Vanilla, Shades of Spring DSP
Ink: Orchid Opulence
Accessories: Very Vanilla grossgrain ribbon, eyelet border punch

  1. I love the color you selected! Beautiful job with the sketch. Thanks for playing @ PPA!

  2. The DSP you chose for your background is perfect - love your scalllopy edge - thanks for playing @PPA!

  3. Very pretty card. I agree with you that less is more in many cases. Love your sponging around the edges, so pretty.

  4. Thank you so much for playing in my second challenge!

You did a great job using monochromatic colors.
