Merry Monday Challenge

I was blog surfing this morning and decided to play along with the Merry Monday Challenge.  I have been following along but have never actually submitted an entry before.  I decided that since I have been playing with MDS recently that I would go ahead and give it a try this week with a digital card.
Here is the sketch for this week.  I decided to rotate the sketch and get a little creative with it.  I used the trees on my card where the ribbon and dsp are on the sketch.  I also thought it would look really cute if I used the deer stamp instead of the punch.  I think this card is super cute and super simple.  Leave me a comment and tell me what you think.

Wedding Words

I am having so much fun with MDS2!  Here is an idea I got from Pinterest.  I really love this idea!  It has the lyrics to our first dance song (Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray) over our first dance picture.  I am going to have a canvas made from this very soon!

A scrapbook page

I have been playing with My Digital Studio 2 again!  My baby is five years old and about to start kindergarten.  How crazy is it that I am just now making pages for his scrapbook?!?  I didn't use any of the new features on MDS2 this time, but I still had a lot of fun creating this page.

Playing with MDS2

I am so excited!  Stampin' Up! released their new version of My Digital Studio today.  Let me tell you, if you do not have this program, you really should get it.  I have been using the original version for quite some time and downloaded the upgrade to My digital Studio 2 this morning and have been playing with it ever since.  I really LOVE the new features.  Do you see my bells?  They are colored with the new coloring tool that allows you to color pieces of one stamp different colors!  My next project is to play with the double layout feature for scrapbook pages.

2 in 1

Here I am on a roll with challenges! This week I did two challenges in one. Pals Paper Arts is having a color challenge for red this week. The Paper Players is having a theme challenge. They want you to use flowers on your card this week. This is the first time that I combined challenges.

For this card, I used the stamp set "Three Little Words." The colors are Real Red, Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Crumb Cake. You can't tell from the photo but I used the Texturz Plate Perfect Details on the smaller red piece.

I hope you like it and leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

P.S. Don't forget about Sale-a-Bration!

Finally a challenge!

I have been telling myself lately that I need to start doing challenges again. I did them awhile back and had so much fun. Then life got in the way. I finally made the time to complete a challenge!

This one is for the The Paper Players. The challenge this week was to create a clean and simple card with a tag on it. Clean and simple is the way I do most of my cards so this was perfect for me.

I picked a color combo out of the color coach for this one. I don't normally used Soft Suede and I wanted an additional challenge, so I went with it. The color coach said that Soft Suede, So Saffron and Regal Rose made a good combo; I agree. I also used some Very Vanilla to balance them out. The stamp sets are Vintage Vogue and On Your Birthday.

3rd and Final Regional Swap

Here is the last swap I made for Regionals. Hope you like it!

I used Three Little Words stamp set and the Timeless Portrait DSP. The flower is the 1 3/4" scallop circle punch scrunched up and separated with an Antique brad in the center. The edging is the scallop trim border on the Whisper White topped with Cherry Cobbler. I used one of my favorite tools, the color spritzer, to finish it off.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I will update you on Regionals when I get back so stay tuned!

Regional Swap 2

Here is swap #2 for Regionals this Saturday! I cased this one from page 209 in the IB&C. I changed it up a bit because I didn't have a couple of the items used on the original.

I used the Sprinkled Expressions Stamp Set from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalog. My colors are Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, River Rock and Whisper White. I also a number of embossing folders and Texturz plates. The letters are from the Timeless Type Sizzlits Dies.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Swaps for regionals

I have not been feeling the mojo recently; which explains my lack of posts. Sorry for that! Regionals are in San Antonio the Saturday and I have been making swaps. Here is my first one.

I used Flirtatious Specialty DSP and cut the different designs into varying lenghts and widths. The stamp is from the On Your Birthday set. I stamped it on Whisper White in Pumpkin Pie ink, punch it with the curly label punch and lined the edge with Pumpkin Pie marker. The "Happiest" is stamped in Melon Mambo, punched with the word window punch and lined with Melon Mambo marker. I added jewels to give a little bling.

If you are at Regionals Saturday, let me know what you think; if not leave me a comment here.
