Inlaid Tulips

There is a new technique going around right now. It is called inlaid embossing and I LOVE it! This technique gives so much texture with out going overboard. This is the first card that I have done using Inlaid Embossing.

All you have to do is create the card front you want; either stamp on the card stock or adhere your punched images done, and then run it through the Big Shot in an embossing folder. Super quick and super easy.

On this card, I used the Two-step Bird punch for the bird and for the tulips. Just punch three wings, sponge the edges and layer them to look like a tulip. The stems are from the same punch.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to leave me a comment telling me what you think of this card!

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Bees & Blossoms builder wheel

Punches: Two-Step Bird punch, Decorative Label punch

Accessories: Square Lattice embossing folder, Basic pearls

Colors: Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum, Tangerine Tango

Stylish Blogger Award

Look what I got! It is my very first blogging award! There are four rules to this award.

First and second, I have to say thank you to the person who gave me the award and link back to their blog. Thank you Kath!!! You can check out her lovely creations here. She does some really great cards!

Third, I have to share 8 things about myself. I chose to show you pictures of my 8 things. It gives a little bit more information about me.

Fourth, I have to pass this award on to other bloggers. I have five very talented ladies who deserve this wonderful award.

There you have it. Make sure you stop by these lovely ladies and tell them how great they are!

Thanks for visiting and see you next time!

Tess for The Paper Players

Today, I wanted to start to get into the swing of challenges. I really like participating in different challenges because most of the time I get out of my comfort zone. This week The Paper Players are having a sketch challenge. Sometimes the sketch challenges are the hardest for me but not this week. I knew when I saw the sketch I was going to use Totally Tess. I only recently acquired this set and I absolutely love it!

I had a little block when it came to the colors that I was going to use. I only have one set of DSP and that is the Play Date set. When I was going through the papers, I stopped on this one, knowing it was perfect. I wanted to coordinate her bag with the background paper so I stamped it in Staz On and cut it out. The Pretty in Pink came into play because I have just recently completed baby shower invites and it was the color on top of my stack.

I just love the new Four Frames set that will be in the new catalog; don't you!?! I am so happy that it goes perfectly with the designer label punch.

I hope you enjoy this card and have a great weekend! Leave me a comment to tell me what you think.
