2 in 1

Here I am on a roll with challenges! This week I did two challenges in one. Pals Paper Arts is having a color challenge for red this week. The Paper Players is having a theme challenge. They want you to use flowers on your card this week. This is the first time that I combined challenges.

For this card, I used the stamp set "Three Little Words." The colors are Real Red, Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Crumb Cake. You can't tell from the photo but I used the Texturz Plate Perfect Details on the smaller red piece.

I hope you like it and leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Finally a challenge!

I have been telling myself lately that I need to start doing challenges again. I did them awhile back and had so much fun. Then life got in the way. I finally made the time to complete a challenge!

This one is for the The Paper Players. The challenge this week was to create a clean and simple card with a tag on it. Clean and simple is the way I do most of my cards so this was perfect for me.

I picked a color combo out of the color coach for this one. I don't normally used Soft Suede and I wanted an additional challenge, so I went with it. The color coach said that Soft Suede, So Saffron and Regal Rose made a good combo; I agree. I also used some Very Vanilla to balance them out. The stamp sets are Vintage Vogue and On Your Birthday.

Leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

Tess for The Paper Players

Today, I wanted to start to get into the swing of challenges. I really like participating in different challenges because most of the time I get out of my comfort zone. This week The Paper Players are having a sketch challenge. Sometimes the sketch challenges are the hardest for me but not this week. I knew when I saw the sketch I was going to use Totally Tess. I only recently acquired this set and I absolutely love it!

I had a little block when it came to the colors that I was going to use. I only have one set of DSP and that is the Play Date set. When I was going through the papers, I stopped on this one, knowing it was perfect. I wanted to coordinate her bag with the background paper so I stamped it in Staz On and cut it out. The Pretty in Pink came into play because I have just recently completed baby shower invites and it was the color on top of my stack.

I just love the new Four Frames set that will be in the new catalog; don't you!?! I am so happy that it goes perfectly with the designer label punch.

I hope you enjoy this card and have a great weekend! Leave me a comment to tell me what you think.

It's been awhile!

I know it has been a long while since I posted anything. It has been a long time since I got to play with my stamps. The list of things that I have been doing is long and I will not go into them now. I hope that things have finally slowed down enough so that I can have some more stamping time.

This card is for The Paper Players sketch challenge this week. I found The Paper Players when I first started to follow Ann Schach . She is amazing and I am so inspired by her. You really need to check out her blog if you don't already. My sister and my husband's cousin are both expecting a baby this summer so I thought I needed to get started on the baby cards.

I used the new square lattice embossing folder from Stampin' Up! for the Certainly Celery layer. I really like the effect it gives. The Bashful Blue stars are stamped with words from the Baby Bundle stamp set. I used the baby accessories from the same stamp set for the Soft Suede layer. I wanted to create an all over background that would add a little subtle effect.

I really like the way this card came out. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think. Don't forget to stop by The Paper Players blog and Ann Schach's blog, you won't be disappointed!

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time.
