This is one that I saw some where in the blogosphere. I don't remember where I saw it or even when I first saw it. I knew that I had to CASE it and if someone knows where it came from, please let me know so that I can give them proper credit. I used Play Date Designer Paper cut into different sizes and stacked them on top of each other. The ribbon is 5/8" Real Red grossgrain. The "Merry Christmas" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. This card is a great clean and simple card and only took me minutes to put together. I hope you enjoy.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Snowy Scene
I think this card is super cute! I just love this set. I started with a Bashful Blue card base and added Whisper White that I cut to look like hills. I lined the edges of the Whisper White with Dazzling Diamonds to give them a fresh snow effect. The trees are from Paisley Prints and stamped in Old Olive. For the girl from Greeting Card Kids, I stamped her in Staz On and colored her coat and leggings with Bashful Blue. I added Dazzling Diamonds to all her trim pieces to give her a good shine. I then took a piece of window sheet and stamped it with the snowflakes from Snow Swirled in Staz On white. I stuck this on the card base with mini glue dots to make sure it would stay.

Scallop Square Apron
Isn't this the cutest apron you have ever seen?!! I made it for my daughter using Stampin' Up!'s scallop square die and the big shot. The fabric is some that I have had lying around for years waiting to be made into a dress. I thought that the apron would get more use because my daughter loves to be in the kitchen cooking with me. The flower at the waist is made using Stampin' Up!'s daisy die and the big shot.
Here is a close up of the daisy. I added one of Stampin' Up!'s retired Corduroy Chocolate Chip Buttons to finish of the daisy. Here is a close up of the fabric I used. It is super cute pink with pink and purple flowers all over. I know my daughter will love it and use it all the time.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time!

P.S. You only have a few more days left to get the FREE tote when you sign up to be a demonstrator. Don't wait until they are all gone. Stop by my website now and use password Cypress to sign up.

Popcorn Invites
Aren't these the cutest things you have ever seen?! My daughter is having a movie birthday and I wanted to make the invites. I patterned these after the flower pot cards with a few changes.
Here is a single invite. The top of the popcorn holder is 4 3/8" and the bottom is 3 1/4". The red stripes are 1/2" each. I used the ticket corner punch for the sentiment because I wanted to give it a "ticket" feel. Here is the invite with the center pulled out. For the popcorn, I used the scallop circle punch and punched different sizes. I sponged them with More Mustard to give them some definition and to make them look like they had butter on them.
My daughter is turning 7 and absolutely loves these invites. She said she wants a cake that looks exactly like the invites. I have to think about that.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time,
-Roberta
P.S. Remember that you have until the end of August to get your extra $25 hostess dollars with qualifying workshop. Contact me today to schedule your workshop.

My first scrapbook progression!
Here it is! My first scrapbook page progression! I am so happy with how it turned out. I am going to have my customers at a workshop make the 6x6 page and then so them how to make the 8.5x11 and then the 12x12 page. I have fallen in love with the Play Date DSP from Stampin' Up! I think it is the perfect paper for a Summer birthday!
Here is the 6x6 page.I used a strip of the flower DSP for this one. The cupcake is from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. I stamped it on Whisper White and colored it with the coordinating colors from the DSP.
Up next is the 8.5x11 page.
I used the Cupcakes wheel and Versamark for the cupcakes on the top of the page. The balloons are stamped on card stock, cut out and layered on the page (some have dimensionals). The So Saffron in the middle is from the Play Date DSP. The rectangle layer is where I will put some journaling and the square is for another photo.
Here is the 6x6 layered with the 8.5x11.An last but not least, the 12x12 page.
This one was super easy. I cut a strip of the Chocolate Chip numbers from the Play Date DSP and layered the number "4" from the colored sheet over top. I used a wire clip from the Clips Assortment to give it some definition. The sentiment is from the On Your Birthday stamp set. The final two squares are for two more photos. I don't have any photos to put in them because I plan on using this page for my son's birthday in a couple months.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

Greeting Card Back to School
How cute is this stamp set?! This set is called Greeting Card Kids and it is my new favorite! These little kids are so cute and versatile. I am going to give this card to my daughter's second grade teacher for back to school. You could also give this card to any parent whose child is going off to college or your own child going off to college as a "miss you" card.
This layout is for Mojo Monday. I decided to use different patterns from the Play Date Designer Paper Pack. I got this pack for FREE at Convention in July!
Remember that you have until the end of August to host a $350 workshop in order to get your extra $25 hostess freebie. Contact me today to book your workshop.

Final Convention Post
Convention was so much fun! This was my first one and I will absolutely be going again. Here are some photos from the sweet shop. Everything is made out of paper and embellishments!
Don't they look good enough to eat? I only took a couple of photos from the sweet shop because I got hungrier the more I stood there. I also wanted to share a couple of photos from the game show. I made it to the game show!!! I didn't make it past round one but it was so much fun. (After I got over being nervous in front of almost 2800 fellow demonstrators, being on that big stage and seeing myself on the jumbotron.)
For the last of my Convention photos, the second photo I took with Shelli. This was during lunch on Thursday of Convention. I was actually late to my class because the line was so long. The next day, they cut the line short so that no one would be late for class.I got Shelli to sign my Convention booklet!! Like I said earlier, I will be going back to Convention because it was so much fun. We learned a lot of new and exciting techniques and information. If you would like to join us next year, send me a comment and I will be more than happy to share my love for what I do!
Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

Flower Power Party at Convention
On Wednesday (check-in day) Stampin' Up! hosted a Flower Power Party. Many of the demonstrators chose to go all out and dress up. I didn't go all out but I did wear a dress that looked like it could have been from the sixties. Here I am with the Singing Serenadors.
Even Shelli and Sterling got dressed up for the Party!
We were told that there would be a game show on Saturday during the Closing Session. Qualifications were held at the Flower Power Party. This is a list of the games we had a chance of playing if we made the cut. I will share more photos from the game show later. I will tell you that I had a blast!!!
The Party was so much fun! I think everyone there had a lot of fun! I will share more Convention photos and exciting news tomorrow.
Thanks for visiting and see you tomorrow,

Waiting in the airport & First day of Convention
I know I said I would try to post photos and information from Convention, but I was so tired every night. It was so exciting!
Wednesday was check-in day. We got a really cute messenger bag with our FREE stamp sets and Convention agenda. Right after check-in, I got in line for the Riverton Campus tour. While we were waiting on the bus, one of the staff members offered 6 of us a VIP tour of the campus as part of the You Crew. To my surprise, I got chosen!!!Here is a photo of the Riverton Campus from the bus as we pulled up.
Here we are on the pick line getting ready to fill some actual orders. How lucky were we?!
That is all for today. Be sure to come back tomorrow because I have more fun Convention photos to share!
-Roberta
P.S. If you want to have this much fun, contact me to find out how to become a demonstrator.
I forgot to tell you that my flight got delayed and now I have to wait a the airport for three hours! Oh well, now I get more time to look through the catalog and update my wish list!!!

My Stampin' Story
As part of Stampin' Up! new Recruit Crew, one of our first acts was to share our "My Stampin' Story". I have been playing with My Digital Studio trying to get this the way I wanted it. I first tried to do a vintage look, but I didn't like the way it was turning out. I then tried to use the medallion background stamp but didn't like the way that looked either. I started to play around with the new designer paper colors and this is what I came up with.
I didn't have any trouble with My Story because I have been thinking about it for awhile. I hope you like it.
I am leaving for Convention on Tuesday and will try to keep you updated with news and photos.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

My Why
As part of Stampin' Up!'s Recruit Crew, our first Act was to create our own My Why story. This story is to put in writing why we decided to join the Recruit Crew and drives us to succeed.
I have thought about it and decided that I want to recruit people who will eventually become good friends. Who couldn't use more friends? "It's good to dream!" Dream about what comes next in my Stampin' Up! business and make it happen. Dream about all the great product and put them to use. Finally, I want to be a part of a great team. I already am because I am a part of the Stampin' Up! team. I would also like to build my own team of great stampers.
There you have it. My Why story. After Convention, I am planning on putting this in a frame and putting it somewhere I can see it everyday. I intend to stick with it and one day create a new My Why story with all new goals.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

Greeting Card Christmas
I am in love with this new set. Greeting Card Kids is a new set in the new Stampin' Up! catalog. This set has four stamps; Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Back to School. The little kids are precious and I strongly suggest that if you don't already have this set on your wish list, add it.
This card is one of the ones that we will be doing in our Second Annual Christmas Stamp Camp. We have three demonstrators each doing two different designs. This camp is for those who want to get a jump on their Christmas cards and also want to give handmade cards.
I don't remember where I first saw this technique, but I love it. You take your scallop oval die and run it through the big shot with a piece of chipboard. You can use the inside oval for another project. For this you only need the scallop piece and the outside piece. Take your card stock and place it inside your Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. Layer your scallop oval on top of the folder and run it through the big shot with the two cutting plates on top and bottom. What you end up with is an embossed piece with the middle oval bare. I sponged over my piece with Real Red to get the petals to pop out. I colored this little girl with by blender pens and markers, then added glitter to her trimmings (you can't tell in the photo but she really shines!).
Thanks for visiting and see you next time. If you need any help with this technique, ask and I can send you step by step directions.

What do you do when you are waiting on the UPS man to deliver stamps? Stamp of course!! While I was waiting I was doing some blog surfing. I visited Tiffany at My Crafty World and found a wonderful picture. I knew immediately that I wanted to use Stampin' Up!s new colors Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist along with a couple of favorites Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I am pleased at how this card turned out.

Happy 4th of July!!
I decided since tomorrow is Independence Day that I should make a scrapbook page to save some memories. I love My Digital Studio because of how easy it is to use! I wanted the photo to be something different so I used the star punch and resized it. I used some snowflakes for the fireworks because I don't have the digital Fourth of July set. I think they work perfectly.
Happy 4th of July to all my fellow American's!! Be safe and have fun!

Blue Bell and PPA
This week Pals Paper Arts is having a Summer theme challenge. If ice cream doesn't scream summer to you, I don't know what does. For those of you who are unlucky to not know what Blue Bell Ice Cream is, it is the "Best Ice Cream in the Country." Blue Bell is a local Texas favorite and not available everywhere. I would recommend that if you ever get a chance to come visit us down here in Texas, you try it and you will agree.
Now on to the 6x6 scrapbook page. I used Crumb Cake as the base and layered a piece of DSP from the soon retiring Tea Party set. I then layered a piece of Chocolate Chip and another piece of Tea Party DSP. The two photos are each matted with the soon retiring Gable Green, as was the top note in Very Vanilla. The ice cream cones are from the Sweet Scoops set available in the Summer Mini Catalog. The bases are stamped in soon retiring Close to Cocoa. The ice cream is stamped to look like Mint Chocolate Chip, Strawberry and Cookies and Cream.
If you are interested in any of these retiring products or any of the many others, click here for more information. If you are interested in becoming a demonstrator for only $99, click here and use password "Creative Space". Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

King of the Grill
Just in time for Father's Day and Summer BBQs! I love this set! It is called "King of the Grill" and it is from Stampin' Up!'s Summer Mini catalog.
For this card, I used the woodgrain background stamp inked with Chocolate Chip on a piece of Kraft card stock for the base. I then stamped the "King" in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla and colored him with a few new colors (returning in-colors). I used Pacific Point for his shirt, Riding Hood Red for his apron and hat, Wild Wasabi for his tools and Crumb Cake (Kraft) for his pants. I didn't want to color the grill because I wanted the focus to be on the "King". He is backed up by a piece of To the Nines DSP. The sentiments are stamped in Riding Hood Red on Very Vanilla and punched out with the Word Window punch.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time,

Thank you for Memorial Day PPA
This week Pals Paper Arts is having a Memorial Day inspiration challenge. When I first saw the challenge for this week, I immediately thought "red, white and blue with the American flag". I made the card and knew instantly that I was not going to use that one. I did not like the way it turned out at all. For the next couple of days, I kept trying to decide what to do and when I was combing through the SCS website yesterday afternoon, it came to me. Red, white, and blue with stars!
I used Brilliant Blue for the base and versamarked the stars from the Under the Stars stamp set. Next comes Whisper White with Thank You from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Brilliant Blue and Real Red. I versamarked the same stars as before on Real Red for the top layer. Before adhering this to the base, I wrapped a piece of Whisper White Organza ribbon around it. The stars were made with the Stars #2 Die and the Big Shot. They are finished with a silver brad and dimensionals to give them some "pop".
Thanks for visiting and see you next time,
-Roberta
P.S. Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think.

PPA42
Here is another creation made from My Digital Studio. I have been using this program a lot lately. It is so versatile. You can make just about anything using My Digital Studio from cards and photo albums to slide shows with music. If you don't have My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! yet, I strongly encourage you to get it. Right now Stampin' Up! is having a special. If you purchase My Digital Studio before May 31, you get a FREE package of Designer brads. Stop by my website for more information or to order.
Now for today's card. I made this one for Pals Paper Arts challenge #42. This week is a color challenge using Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Real Red. As you can see, I made Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive the main characters with Real Red a supporting color.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time.

Happy Mother's Day
To all the mothers and mothers to be. Happy Mother's Day!!
This is a card I made using My Digital Studio. Now that I have learned how to use this program, I am using it all the time. It is really a time saver and so much fun. You can create almost anything you want and still have the colors match Stampin' Up! colors exactly when you use their professional print services.
Thanks for visiting and see you next time.
